The list of candidates for the Ballon d’Or 2009 is a curious one. It is not new, but it appears to be playing soccer in Europe.

we can not say that on other continents football is more competitive than in the old continent, but in fact, there is no player on that list who performs work outside Europe. And with the 30 selected, no representative or African football.

Consider that any player who is not signed by European clubs for ticket basis, may be the best in the world is very strong. Because football is intimately united to money and lose the essence of the game, which is basically a sport.
